Highlights from 2007 Dual Slalom Race

Why Volunteer for the Dual Slalom?
Dual Slalom racing is exciting. Racers shoot down a twisty course featuring high berms, off-camber sections, and double-jumps.
As a marshal, you will be positioned inside the course fencing with the athletes riding right by you. Since the course is fenced off, you don't have to contend much with spectators. We get to focus on the DS action while making sure the racers make their gates.
Volunteers get a 4-day festival pass, lunch, a t-shirt, and a boat-load of gratitude from the MBOSC and Sea Otter folks.
DeFiebre Hill, the site of the Dual Slalom, is near the nucleus of the SOC. That makes it the best spot to observe the festival and other events. So bring a comfy chair, a hat, sunscreen, sturdy boots, a winter jacket, sit back and enjoy the show.
